Marsha's Place Pregnancy Resource Center is a 501c3 non-profit in the state of Kentucky. While we do not provide or refer for abortion services, we can answer your questions about side effects, what to expect, and more. We do not profit from any of your sexual health or pregnancy decisions. Our ultrasounds help determine how far along you are and whether the pregnancy appears viable. They do not officially rule out an ectopic pregnancy. Contact us to learn more. An ultrasound can confirm whether your pregnancy is progressing, if you are beginning to experience a miscarriage, if the pregnancy is located inside the uterus, and verify how far along you are. If no intrauterine pregnancy is detected, you may be experiencing an ectopic pregnancy—a life-threatening condition that requires immediate emergency medical attention. Ultrasound findings may also affect what medical options are available, including the type of abortion or when prenatal care should begin.
